So Glittery! 3D-Printed Pen Trays

For my husband's birthday, I bought him a bunch of 3D-printer stuff, including some nifty filament which was half a present for me... 😆 I had him reprint the pen trays that he originally made to fit into my Muji acrylic drawers using the new glittery filament I gave him and they turned out great!

This picture doesn't accurately show the translucency of the filament, but the macro picture below gives a better sense of how it looks in real life:

When he gave me the first printed tray, I was floored by how cool it looked! Awesome translucent look and the glitter... ✨✨✨

BTW, the tray has these undulating pen slots so that different-sized pens can be placed close to each other comfortably. In regular, straight pen slots, larger pens sit higher since they don't fit, and then encroach on the space on either side. With these curved slots, big and small pens both fit properly in the slots and next to each other (as you can see in the drawer picture at the top). Also, these pen trays can be used on their own without the acrylic drawer. They have little feet inset from the edges that keeps the tray from wobbling, no matter what flat surface you put it on.

I'm encouraging him to post the STL file for this tray on his Cults3D page. Once he's posted it, I'll update this post and probably do a separate announcement. ✌️

Any questions? I'll be happy to answer them.
