Sailor Ink "Family": Rikyucha, Shirakashi, and Tsurubami

Those of you who know my love of brown and swampy green inks will not be surprised that I'm writing about Sailor Shikiori Rikyucha, Shikiori Tsurubami, and Manyo Shirakashi. This all started because of a discussion thread where people were talking about Shirakashi. I wasn't familiar with it. After looking up some swatches online, it reminded me a lot of Rikyucha.
Looking at them more closely, to my eye, Shirakashi is green with brown tones, while Rikyucha is brown with green tones. Rikyucha also has a stronger rusty, reddish-brown side that comes through where the ink is heaviest. Shirakashi has a little bit of that, just not as pronounced.
I had filled one of my other currently inked pens with Tsurubami, an ink I bought along with Yuki-Usagi (my current absolute favorite Sailor ink) and for some reason thought it was also like Rikyucha, but it's clearly a straight brown without any overt greenish tones (but perhaps its cooler brown appearance is due to a little green?). It looks the least like the other two inks, but I feel like Tsurubami's brown looks like it's a component of both Shirakashi and Rikyucha.
Anyway, they all fit into my primarily fall color palette for currently inked. Once again, I think a lot of my inked pens have a brown, green, or a variation thereof ink. 😅 I keep thinking eventually I'll start to move away from those colors, but I haven't strayed very far yet. Feel free to enable my "problem" with recommendations of more brown, green, and odd inks. 😆
Thanks for reading. If you like what I write and want to support me, you can buy me a coffee...or tea! I'd appreciate it.
