Shitty Camera Challenge, Day 62:

More sky/cloud pictures, this time with the Superheadz Sun&Cloud. As much as I like the smaller, more ergonomic form-factor of the Digital Harinezumi 2, I like that it's much easier to change between color and black and white modes on the Sun&Cloud. And there are many more filters to choose from. And I can set the dang date and time on the camera so that my pictures aren't labeled as taken in 2009... :shaking fist at Digital Harinezumi 2:

Anyway, here are the pictures. I really liked the sort of pastel, "orange cream" gradients in the color photos; completely unrealistic, but pretty.

And of course I had to get a black and white, "super mono" picture:

I love the look of the super-mono mode for textures and lighting like this, but I couldn't leave out the color pics.

Bonus little story

On our walk through the neighborhood, we often come across this black longhair kitty along the loop, several houses away from ours. I am not sure if the kitty lives at the house we see it at, or if it knows that the homeowner regularly feeds neighborhood kitties, so it hangs out there. Regardless, if we come across this cat on our walk, it'll usually greet us and enjoy some pets from us. We give it head scritches, belly rubs, and talk to it for a few minutes, then continue our walk.

This time, it decided to follow us on our walk. It kind of ran after us to catch up, and I stopped a couple times to pet it again. This has happened before, but usually a couple houses down is the boundary where the cat will stop and let us continue on our way. But today the kitty followed us many houses away. We couldn't get it to turn around and go back! I was getting worried that it would be confused or lost if it got too far away.

As it got further and further away from home base, it was more wary and furtive, looking all around, walking between parked cars and the curb to kind of hide as it followed us. At some point it stopped on the sidewalk and started yowling loudly, clearly in distress that it had strayed too far away from its territory. So we backtracked on our loop and led it back to its house. Once it was back in its yard, we tried to resume our walk past the house, hoping it wouldn't try to follow us again. As we walked past the driveway, it kind of sprinted after us a couple times, but we just kept walking and it stayed near home, phew! But we did hear it kind of yowling again, as if it were upset that we were leaving... This was such surprising behavior! Not sure how it'll react the next time we see it. 😅
