A small glass of tawny port on a white “marble” table in front of a tufted “leather” chair back
Large white plate with beet risotto piled in the middle, with stalks of asparagus, a filet of salmon, and a grilled lemon wedge stacked sequentially on top. A drizzle of a dark sauce encircles the food.

Went out to eat this evening. But because I like to avoid heavily trafficked places, especially on this Father’s Day weekend, I looked for a restaurant on OpenTable that had plenty of available reservation slots. I didn’t realize this restaurant was inside a hotel, but it was fine. We were able to get a secluded table away from the few other people in the place, and luckily our service didn’t suffer because of our location in the restaurant. 😝 I tried a glass of tawny port for the first time. It had a tasty caramel flavor (I prefer dessert wines if I drink wine). 👍🍷

Nice to get out for a change (we are still wary of public activities thanks to COVID).
