Picture(s) a Day: Jul 13

CHROMATIC ABERRATION ✨✨😆

We went to the Los Altos Art & Wine festival today, so I naturally brought along the Digital Harinezumi 2 and captured more lo-fi, grungy pics.

View of a street blocked off for the art & wine festival, lined with vendor tents on either side, with a banner, "Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival, July 13 & 14" strung above it. A couple people in the foreground are slightly "wobbly" due to a rolling shutter effect.
I like the slight rolling shutter effect here.
Vivid Japanese maple tree branches and leaves, the sun shining brightly through the top of the tree, very overexposed
Of course I had to shoot into the sun in at least one of my pictures!

I wish I were better at shooting without a preview, as I do find it annoying to enable movie recording mode to frame a shot, and then switch back to photo mode to capture the image. But I suppose that's part of the DH2's "charm". 😝

I am tempted to get an ND filter to slap on the front with blue tape to minimize the overexposure and see how much of a well-exposed image I can get. The whole point of cameras like these is that they'll be wildly off with their exposure, and you take advantage of that when shooting, but I'm curious if I could capture better exposed images, and then do some post-processing to sharpen and remove grain to see what those cleaned up images would look like. For funsies. We'll see if I get around to that experiment.
