Heavy traffic traveling under and overpass leaving Chicago, the sun blazing on the horizon at sunset, sky deep orange
Chicago, 2009, Nikon D90, 18-200mm lens

A blazing sunset, seen as we were leaving downtown Chicago back in 2009. I feel like when we lived in the Chicago 'burbs, we went to Chicago a lot more than we go to San Francisco now that we live in the SF 'burbs. The Chicago area is majorly spread out, and it takes forever to get around thanks to long drives and bad traffic. Here in the Bay Area, places are a lot closer together, yet it feels even more of a pain to drive to downtown SF. I am not sure if it's the traffic, or my lower tolerance for driving around here despite shorter distances, or (likely) a combination of both. 😜
