Picture a Day: Oct 30
Polaroid Week, Autumn 2024, day 4: Yosemite and my trip using the SLR 680 SE. 😢 The Pola SLR broke on this trip. I don't think I had a backup SX-70 with me, so this was probably one of the last photos I took with that camera. Maybe some day I'll have it repaired. If y'all have any recommendations for Polaroid repairers, please let me know!
I had to color correct this scan because the original picture has a sickly "orange cream" shade instead of the monochrome look it has now. I think this was probably Impossible Project PX100 film, so I don't know if it had some specific storage requirements so that the exposure wouldn't get discolored, or if it was an unavoidable thing that happens over time. Correcting in the scanning software was easy enough.
P.S. I love Yosemite, but I've only been there during winter season. Sometime I'll have to go in the summer. I was thinking of going in the spring so that it's not super hot, but I wouldn't want to deal with goopy mud. 😝
P.P.S. I have such a strong déjà vu feeling as if I posted this photo already, but I don't see it on Flickr, so 🤞
