picture a day: nov 14

Sprite's been through a lot in the last couple days. I had to get him to the vet yesterday because he just refused to eat and wouldn't even sleep two nights ago (and as a result, I didn't sleep, having been monitoring him overnight). The vet ran some tests and saw that his kidney disease progressed to stage 4. 😞 He stayed overnight for IV fluids and we picked him up earlier this evening.

When he got home, it's like he was back to his old self again, and he was ravenous, loudly crying to be fed multiple times, practically 180 degrees from how he has been for a while. I don't want to get my hopes up too high because I've done that a lot before and gotten disappointed by regressions the next day, but this is the best outcome we could've gotten. We'll have to take it one day at a time. For now, I'm happy to have seen his faceplanting again. 😅
