Picture a Day: Nov 1

Polaroid Week, Autumn 2024, day 6: This was taken at the first place we lived when we moved out to California. This is an area above the front door that normally would be inaccessible, but we added a shelf on the wall so that the cats could get to the windows (somewhat of an iffy idea in hindsight, because we could not easily reach them if something went wrong, or if we needed to intervene, but nothing bad ever happened, phew!). They loved sitting in these high windows in the afternoon, which gave me ample opportunities to catch them in cute poses like this, along with a companion shadow.

This is a black and white photo, so you can't see the bright colors the walls were painted. It was kind of tough to take pictures in the house, particularly at night, since a lot of the walls were orange or yellow or red-orange, really messing with white balance. 😐
