Grainy black and white image of a public sculpture, further description in blog post below
How Random, 2025, taken with a Panasonic Lumix LX3, "film grain" scene mode

I happened upon this sculpture (part of a larger series of 4 or 5 sculptures along the side of a public sidewalk in downtown Sunnyvale) walking to a place for lunch with my brother.

[Alt text description for the above image] It's kind of hard to see the writing on the sculpture thanks to my decision to take this as a black and white photo, but it says, "I cannot take it anymore," spelled out crudely by flat pieces of wood in a round hole cutout of a larger, flat metal sculpture piece shaped like the silhouette of a person's head, propped up by a rickety-looking wooden pedestal standing on the ground, surrounded by spiky, leafy plants. There is a dark wall behind the reflective sculpture which means the black and white treatment makes it harder to distinguish the metal sculpture and its writing from the wall. Whoops. (Also, beyond the dark wall, a building in the background on the left is visible, and a few tree tops are visible on the right.
