Image of a small, open hand holding a Pilot Prera fountain pen with a clear body and transparent blurple accents

I got my first Pilot Prera today and had no idea how small it was. Even though I’d heard it was considered a pocket pen, and even saw a video recently about Preras with a size comparison to other pens, my brain never registered how small the pen is until I opened the box and saw it. 😅😆 So cute! I inked it up with Jacques Herbin 1670 Bleu Ocean, which is a really good match for the Prera’s transparent blurple accents.

I bought it specifically for its CM (Calligraphy Medium) nib which is a narrow italic nib. It’s only maybe one or two mm narrower than the stub nibs I have on my TWSBI and Kaweco Sport, but I feel it’s more manageable with my small block print writing and the tiny grid on Hobonichi Hon pages. Quite happy with the purchase!
