Picture a Day: Jan 20

Last year I had no real theme for my daily pictures. I wanted to post a picture a day, however that ultimately happened. At first I tried to go places or do things that were picture-worthy as a way to keep active, but after a while I couldn't keep up with that regularly, so I either took a picture of something that was notable that day, or took a picture of my cats, or pulled from a vast archive of older pictures. As a result, the batches of pictures every month were sort of haphazard, as they weren't really a strict journal of my daily life, nor were they themed batches of "fine art" photos.

I did kind of want this year's daily pictures to be more toward the "artsy shot" end of the spectrum, but I'm not sure I can really sustain that without more planning. 😐 Today's picture(s) is an example of more toward the "journal-y" end of the spectrum, which I guess is fine. We went out to run errands and ended up going to an early dinner at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, a "kaiten" sushi restaurant. I like the concept of being able to pick what you want from the conveyor belt, and order specific dishes if you want from a touchscreen menu. It's fun. Eventually we'll explore the other restaurants in the plaza. 😅
