Picture a Day: Dec 14
I really wanted to capture the name of the restaurant, its window version reflected legibly in the mirror, partially obscured by the huge holiday wreath. At first I tried a picture with my Fuji x100t, but it was too wide of a few and was pretty distorted. I thought this framing from the Halide app on my iPhone was close enough to what I wanted. The Halide app strips the extra processing the iPhone does to make clear, ultimately sterile images, so I often use the Halide app to get an actual raw image that I can then tweak in something like VSCO or Afterlight. The noise in the image is what you get if the iPhone didn't take multiple shots to combine them for cleaning up high-ISO noise, which I sometimes prefer.
