Inkvent 2025 - Day 23

Diamine's offering for today is more appealing than Colorverse's (again), perhaps, in part, thanks to the name.

Colorverse

Readers familiar with my preferences can tell you that Lunar Black isn't for me. Too dark, too close to black, even though it's a dark gray. It has hints of greenish undertones. Perhaps diluted it could be an interesting shading gray... 🤷‍♀️

Diamine

My blue ink preferences lean more towards dusky, darker blues, blue-grays, blue-blacks (but not super dark!), and blurples. I tend not to like bright, sky blues, or lighter turquoise colors. But something about Let it Snow appeals to me, though I suppose when up against a dark, dark gray from Colorvent, the Diamine ink doesn't have to do too much work? 🤔 😜

Let it Snow has a pretty chameleon shimmer that shifts between light blue and purple, but in practice, I mainly saw the light blue shimmer, not purple. The overall effect does evoke snowy, frosty weather, which, along with the fun name, won me over. 🙂 Maybe sometime later on during the winter season I'll ink up a pen with this to contrast with my brown and darker inks among my currently inked pens.

Getting really close to the end now (Colorverse will be done tomorrow!) and we still aren't seeing interesting, gimmicky, or even quietly stunning inks to close out the sets strong... Hmmm. Thoughts on today's inks?
