Inkvent 2025 - Day 18

Kind of a disappointing batch of inks for me today. Here's hoping tomorrow we get back on track.

Red Aurora reminds me of the Kaweco Infrared Perkeo fountain pen.

I think people who own that pen would be happy to use this ink as a "matchy matchy" selection. 😀 It is red, orange, and pink with golden brown sheen. Not really my cup of tea, but I can respect the evocation of a red aurora.

Come on, no more extreme sheens! 😝 The base color for Laurel is a dark green with noticeable darker blue tones, pushing it into teal territory, which, I guess since the set is Inkvent Teal, I'll allow it, even though I don't like teal. But you'd never know it because the so-named extreme sheen, in this case, a very bright, shiny red-magenta, completely obliterates the base. :smh: Really not my thing.

Today's inks are a bust for me, though if I had to choose one, I'd pick Red Aurora. How about y'all? How many sheening and extreme sheening ink fans are out there? Voice your opinions here, on Mastodon, or Bluesky.
