Inkvent 2025 - Day 13

On the first day with only Colorverse Colorvent and Diamine Inkvent sets left, unfortunately, neither ink are really for me. 😐

Colorverse

Golden Mist looks more substantial in this scan than it really is. The ink is literally transparent in the vial, and went onto the paper very lightly. The swatch part was so "misty" that I really wasn't sure where it was depositing, needing to just watch where my brush nib was placed within the swatch rectangle. It also seems to be wet, based on the little writing I did with the Kakimori glass nib. I'm really not sure what pen would render this ink legible, if any. Hmmmm. 🤔

Diamine

Molten Basalt is a purple- and blue-leaning dark gray with brown (?) sheen in heavy pooling areas. Perhaps if I used this in a dry-writing nib I could see more of the lighter gray? I like that color in the swatch, but the writing sample looks dark and is overtaken by the sheen (even though this is a standard ink), so maybe I'd have to dilute it. But really, if I have to work to bring out the ink color I want, I'm not sure this ink is for me. 🤷‍♀️

Sadly, today is a miss in my books. What say you?
